  • Just curious why Marvel Omnibuses don't seem better planned out - the first Brubaker Captain America Omnibus was out of print when The Winter Soldier was in theatres. The original Secret Wars is out of print now, and the Daredevil Omnibus with 'Born Again' and 'Man Without Fear' in it is too - at a time when interest in Daredevil is VERY high. What gives?

We’ve talked about this before on multiple occasions, so I’d suggest scrolling back through the archive.

The short answer, though, is that Omnibuses are intended as one-printing items, because they are so expensive to produce, print and stock. While we’ve reprinted a few where there’s been sufficient interest, you should assume that typically there will only be a single printing of such a volume.

Also an attempt to haul it might be construed as an attempt to wield it, by the driver. So it would depend on the worthiness of the driver, then.

If Thor put it down in the truckbed, for instance, it wouldn’t crash the truck any more than it crashed the Helicarrier in the first The Avengers movie when he put it down.
